Like recent! Only used in my inflatable hot tub twice before selling hot tub and it worked superb! It is designed to collect floor and seat debris – it is not a surface skimming device. Love the automatic start-up/stop: just put it into/lift it out of the water. Motor only comes on when vacuum is submerged so that it never runs dry/burns up. Comes with charging cable for built-in rechargeable lithium ion battery. Runs for a full 60 minutes on a 2 hour charge.
